SYLAP 2017
The Shoshone/Goshute Youth Language Apprenticeship Program (SYLAP) is a 6–week summer program for tribal youth hosted by the University of Utah’s Shoshoni Language Project. It offers students the opportunity to:
- Begin learning their heritage language in a for–credit university course,
- Work as a paid intern on language documentation and revitalization projects,
- Live on a university campus and learn about going to college.
If you are a high school sophomore, junior or senior at the time of application and are connected in some way to a Shoshone tribe, we encourage you to apply!
