Haintsenee, hakanee Memme?
Hello friends! How are you?

Welcome to our Soho Okwai Newe Taikwappe (South Fork Shoshone Language) Page.

The Soho Okwai Newe Taikwappe (South Fork Shoshone Language) started in Spring 2013 to revitalize the local dialect of Western Shoshone spoken in Northeast Nevada, and encourage its speaking and use through writing using the writing system developed by the late Wick R. Miller of the University of Utah. The Soho Okwai Newe Taikwappe are part of an aggregate community of individuals and organizations, tribes, and institutions working to preserve, cultivate and expand the use of the Western Shoshone language.
